Field Service Engineer - Entry Level

Job Description Summary:

Same Day Door Service is seeking an entry level Field Service Engineer to specialize in garage door repair/installation. Most importantly we are looking for a perfect fit to join our team and to help deliver excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Install and/or repair a wide range of residential doors and door hardware
• Repair, service, and provide solutions for commercial garage doors and/or openers, Automatic Doors, Fire Doors, Hollow Metal Doors, Dock Equipment as well as other commercial products
• Diagnose problems and provide compelling solutions
• Perform on-the-spot maintenance and service as necessary
• Provide a world-class customer service experience
• Identify opportunities to provide customers with needed products and services to fit their individual needs
• Track and maintain job related paperwork with submittance in a timely manner
• Operate in a safety conscious manner at all times while performing job duties
• Use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging goals
• Take on responsibilities and manage priorities with minimal guidance
• On the job training is available for all applicants

Qualifications:

• Must pass standard drug testing and criminal background check
• Mechanical aptitude and power tool proficiency
• Desire to deliver superior customer service
• Willingness to learn and be part of a team
• Exceptional work ethic
• Strong communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• A positive, team-first attitude
• Must be able to lift 70-90 lbs while on the ground or on a ladder
• Must be able to use standard hand tools
• Valid drivers license accepted by the company’s auto insurance carrier
